Find Your Next Truck at The Schumacher Chevrolet Group

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a pickup that's strong, capable and built to stand the test of time, delivering the dependability you need and want. If you're looking to get things done, you owe it to yourself to take a good, long look at the Silverado 1500. America's workforce has been counting on the Silverado for generations, trusting it at the job site as it's evolved from a basic work truck of yore to the customizable truck found on our showroom floor today.

What's New?

Chevrolet didn't need to add much to the Silverado 1500 to make it a compelling option for today's truck buyer. Every trim level offers a backup camera as a standard feature, and the tire-pressure monitor now emits an audible alert to indicate that you've filled the air pressure to the recommended level. The eAssist package, which was previously only offered for the LT trim, is now an option for the LTZ trim. Perhaps most noteworthy, Chevrolet has introduced a commemorative Centennial Edition to celebrate a century of Chevrolet trucks. This package, which is only available for the 2018 model year, includes heritage-inspired badging and an exclusive Centennial Blue exterior paint color option.

You can drive off the lot with the standard 4.6-liter V6 engine that powers out 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, or you can opt to upgrade to one of two available V8 engines. The 5.3-liter V8 makes 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, allowing you to tow up to 11,100 pounds; the 6.2-liter V8 generates 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and delivers a best-in-class towing capacity of 12,500 pounds.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) awarded the Silverado with a 5-Star Overall crash safety rating, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it their highest rating of "Good" in four crash tests.

One notable feature parents will surely love in the Silverado is the Teen Driver system, which allows you to set speed and audio volume limits. The Silverado also offers a standard rearview camera, and available driver assistance features include parking sensors front and rear, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, automatic forward braking and a safety alert seat.

Trim Levels and Features

Frankly, Chevy offers a dizzying array of trim levels, special editions and configurations for the Silverado 1500 -- allowing you to pretty much customize the pickup to suit your preferences and needs. From the base WT trim all the way up to the top-of-the-line High Country trim, you can choose to ride in Crew, Regular or Double Cabs, with short, regular or long beds, and configure your truck as either a 4x2 or a 4x4.

No matter which Silverado trim level you choose, you'll enjoy such standard amenities as a six-speaker audio system, a USB port and the MyLink infotainment system that comes with Bluetooth® streaming and a 7-inch touchscreen. In addition, the Silverado offers Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, as well as the ability to create Wi-Fi hotspot.
